A12 Alfred Benzon
Domestic sent post card with perfin “AB” in the stamp. The letter is franked correctly with 7 øre, which was the rate for domestic post card from January 1st 1919 to September 30th 1919. The stamp is cancelled February 12th 1919 with a Whole letter cancelation machine, exact this is not mentioned in Flemming Hansen book “Helstempling 1904 – 1932 for Københavnslokalområde” but it’s properly a machine from Sylbe & Pondorf. The oval shape of the imprint shows that the feed of the postcard has stopped in the forward move while the stamp roller still was running.
